About our office
Dr. Jerry W. Price started his general dental practice in 1976. Dr. Jennifer W. Taylor has worked in the practice since July 2012 and acquired the practice from Dr. Price in January 2013. Dr. Taylor continues the mission of the office set forth by Dr. Price to provide high quality, evidence based dental care. She continues to focus on preventive dentistry and patient centered dental treatment.
Dr. Jennifer W. Taylor
Dr. Taylor was born and raised in Tarboro. She graduated from Tarboro High School in 2003. She attended East Carolina University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her degree in Biology and Psychology. She participated in research projects at ECU and was involved in many extra curricular activities. She was also nominated and inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society during her senior year.
Following her undergraduate degree Dr. Taylor attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. She graduated with honors in May 2011. Dr. Taylor completed several elective courses while in dental school including implantology, periodontology, pediatric emergencies, and professional ethics. She also received her Certificate in Public Health from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health while in dental school.
Following her dental education Dr. Taylor was employed by Vidant Medical Center in Greenville as a hospital dental resident. While there she completed her General Practice Residency Degree with East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine in June 2012. She received additional training in IV sedation, general anesthesia, oral surgery, and hospital dentistry. Dr. Taylor attends numerous post-doctoral training and continuing education courses each year and also studies at the Pankey Institute.
She is an active member of the North Carolina Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the Nash-Edgecombe-Halifax Dental Society.
Dr. Taylor is active in her community where she serves on the Edgecombe County Health and Human Services Board and the Vidant Edgecombe Hospital Development Council Board. She works within the community on several projects, including the Geriatric Oral Health Education Project.
She is married to Charles Taylor, who is also a native of Tarboro. They are active members of St. James United Methodist Church. They have three daughters, Eleanor Elise, Charlotte Louise and Mary Shelton. They enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.

Karen Manning Ritter, RDH
Karen graduated with her B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 1987. She has been a hygienist at our office for 20 years. She enjoys going to the beach, watching movies, and attending baseball games with her husband and daughter. Go Red Sox! She enjoys taking care of her patients and spending time with her coworkers.
Sarah Bollard, RDH
Sarah graduated Vice President of her class with an Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from Wayne Community College in 2018. She also graduated President of her class as a Dental Assistant from Martin Community College in 2016. Her hometown is Bear Grass, NC. She enjoys spending time with her husband Eliot and her 2 dogs Xena and Zeppelin. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends.
Kendra Holland- Dental Assistant
Kendra Van Staalduinen Holland grew up in Washington, NC and graduated from Terra Ceia Christian School. She went to Dental Assisting school at Martin Community College. She has one son, and lives in Washington. She enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her family.
Lucinda Plasencio Crowell- Dental Assistant II
Lucinda has been a dental assistant for 23 years. She received her radiology certification in 1997 and her Dental Assisting II Certification from Wake Forest University in 2002. She also completed her degree in Medical Office Administration in 2014. She is a licensed massage therapist in Tarboro since 2001. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and family.
