Dr. Taylor completed a course on Perinatal Dental Care and Early Childhood Caries on August 12. PREVENTION STARTS EARLY!!!
FACT: The ADA and AAPD recommend that all expectant mothers receive a comprehensive oral examination by a dentist. This is due to increased risk of acid erosion, lowered immune system, increase for gingivitis and periodontal disease, and transmission of cariogenic bacteria to your baby.
FACT: Your child should see a dentist by their 1st birthday. Caries (cavities) are the most prevalent chronic disease in childhood with 1/3 of preschoolers having caries and 75% of elementary aged children.
